At The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics, we appreciate the trust you place in us to provide you with expert and compassionate care for your orthopaedic needs. The coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to present itself in locations throughout the U.S. Please rest assured that your safety and wellbeing, as well as that of our staff, is our utmost concern.
We are closely monitoring the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, and specifically guidance and updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO). With this information, we are developing and implementing thoughtful plans and actions at our CAO locations across the region to provide a safe and healthy environment.
Proactive actions we are taking:
Requiring team members to take preventive measures recommended by the CDC to help stop the spread of the virus, including but not limited to: washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoiding contact with others who are sick, and staying home if sick.
Provided all of our locations with prescriptive preventive measures and resources, including: facts on the virus, reinforcement of facility cleaning guidelines (including the temporary removal of toys in our pediatric areas), guidance on personal protective care and use, and instructions on how to report a COVID-19 exposure.
Communicating with patients through various channels to ensure we reschedule an appointment if they have a fever, cough and/or difficulty breathing, have traveled to or had close contact with someone who has traveled to high risk countries, or have tested positive for or been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
We will begin offering Telemedicine (video appointments) for patients who are sick or otherwise unable to see their physician in person during this unprecedented time. As each patient is unique, we will work with you to assess your condition and determine if a video visit is ideal for your particular concern. If you would like to change your appointment from an in-office visit to a video visit please contact your CAO location directly
What we might ask of you:
If you have an upcoming appointment scheduled with us and have a fever, cough and/or difficulty breathing, have traveled to or had close contact with someone who has traveled to high risk countries, or have tested positive for or been exposed to someone with COVID-19, we may ask you to reschedule your appointment for 14 or more days from now.
If you have any questions about an appointment, please feel free to contact your CAO Care Center team, and if you’re interested in following the latest COVID-19 updates, you can do so on the CDC’s website.
Thank you for the continued trust you place in us at The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics.
Regards,
